Dévoilé – Unveiled: Film Screening & Community Conversation
Dévoilé – Unveiled is an independent short film exploring the experience of a young French-Tunisian woman living in Finland as a visibly Muslim woman, and the contrasts she encountered compared with her life in France.
Inspired by her story, this evening invites us to look beyond the film and reflect on a wider question: what does it mean to be Muslim in Finland today, and how can we build stronger connections within our communities?
Through the screening and an open conversation with filmmaker Sahra Jama, we’ll explore experiences of belonging, identity, community and connection — and, importantly, discuss how we can collaborate, support one another and come together around positive causes.
The evening will also include a workshop focused on turning discussion into action, with the aim of leaving with concrete ideas and actionable steps to strengthen collaboration, understanding and connection within the Finnish Muslim community.
