Cluain Oir June Activity Day

Join us in Galway City for a day of all things medieval. Music is the big addition that so many people are keen to bring to our days. Musicians, you are so incredibly welcome at all our events! We will continue with the usual crafting and fencing and there is space for musicians to join us and meet, play, chat, practice and generally share their love of medieval music!

Fencing will start at noon and we’ll be focussing on buckler and sword after our recent buckler making day. We have plenty of loaner gear for those keen to try. Feel free to bring your own craft that you’re working on. Book covers will be there for those making their own medieval books. We usually have people doing costuming, calligraphy, leatherworking and other things people are doing. New attendees always welcome. We will plan a lunchbreak at 1:30pm and encourage people to bring a packed lunch and to sit down together to chat and plan what we want to do at future days.

People are always welcome for the social element of events. Fees for the day are: Regular: €14, (Members €10) Unwaged / student €5, Under 18: Free. Your 1st time attending one of our events: Free.
