Storm the Castle - Athlone Demo

Join us for this years "Storm the Castle Demo" in Athlone Castle, August 21st from 10:30 - 17:30.
Demonstrate your arts, skills and knowledge to the world and public at large!

This years theme is centered around the Medieval garden and topics or knowledge of herbs in medieval cooking, textile, making dyes, ink and so on are very welcome.

And don't worry if the above isn't your area, be sure to come along for all that an Athlone Demo entails.

• Come show off your skills at defeating your opponents in games of chance, skill and deception.
• Display your fine arts and sciences, so that others can see your fine accomplishments.
• Regal others with your knowledge of plants and herbs that will sooth their aches or add flavour to their lives.
• Display your marshal zeal atop the castle, as we fence for the public and to sneak in a little pratice.

Tea, coffee and refreshments provided.
Bathrooms onsite, spaces to change / get ready as required.
Nearby parking in the Church Grounds opposite the castle (free) or paid parking outside the Castle and surrounding areas.

Setup is from 9:00am, Demo/event opens at 10:30am. Please try to be there by 10:00am

Equipment can be delivered and stored onsite in the days before the demo.
