Farm Museum of Carl Robert Jakobson, Kurgja

Kurgja was built according to the designs and dreams of Carl Robert Jakobson. The farm museum, which still practices cattle breeding and farming today, invites visitors to see cows, sheep, and horses, as well as beautifully restored traditional farm buildings such as the cowshed, granary, mill, and threshing barn.

You can also try your hand at farm work and discover old customs – the museum hosts traditional events such as Farm Work Day, Estonian Horse Day, Sheep Day, and the Midsummer Eve celebration, among others. By pre-order, you can also enjoy authentic Estonian dishes at the museum!

Did you know? Carl Robert Jakobson’s portrait was featured on the 500 kroon banknote.

The Carl Robert Jakobson Farm Museum also offers simple homemade meals in the threshing barn. As we wish to serve our guests only fresh food, catering for groups (minimum 10, maximum 60 people) is available by pre-order only.

Ticket valid for 30 days from the date of purchase during opening hours (except major events and national holidays).
