About Yugeneration

Yugeneration is the non-profit project of Yugen. For every bottle or can sold, 2 cents go to the foundation. Our mission is to bring people back to nature — and help to restore it.

The name says it all: YUGENeration. Yugen is a Japanese concept — the sense of wonder you feel for the beauty of nature. That moment when the vastness of the world around you gives you goosebumps.

We believe that people who truly experience nature also take better care of it. So Yugeneration funds free nature experiences — working with esteemed local organisations. This spring, we're organizing a series of free nature experiences, including Bushcraft.

What is Bushcraft?

Bushcraft literally means “forest craft," the art of living in nature using what it provides in a simple, sustainable way. During this immersive day in Bosland, you’ll learn practical skills like making fire with natural materials, cooking over an open fire, and discovering edible and medicinal wild plants.

But for us, bushcraft is about more than survival skills. It’s about slowing down, reconnecting with nature and yourself, and sharing meaningful moments with like-minded people outdoors.

About our partner: Outdoorschool

The Outdoorschool is a Belgian organization that helps people reconnect with nature through adventure, outdoor skills and immersive experiences. For more than 25 years, they have guided people in bushcraft, survival and nature immersion, teaching practical skills like fire-making, navigation and shelter building while encouraging a deeper, more mindful connection with the outdoors.

FAQ

Do I need to register for the event?
Yes. As we work with a limited number of spots per activity, registration in advance is required.

Why do I need to pay a reservation fee if the event is free?
To avoid no-shows, we ask for a small reservation fee. This will be fully refunded after your event attendance.

What ages are the events suitable for?
Our events are open to all ages, unless stated otherwise on the event page.

What if I can no longer attend?
If you can no longer participate, please cancel your registration in time (no later than 7 days before the event) and notify us via email: [email protected] so someone else can take your spot. If you do not show up without notice, your reservation fee will be donated to Yugeneration.

What should I bring?
Practical information such as clothing materials or preparation will be shared with you on the event page & after registering. For additional questions, contact: [email protected]

What happens in case of bad weather?
Most activities continue in light rain, so appropriate clothing is recommended. If an event must exceptionally be rescheduled or cancelled, all participants will be informed in time.

Will the activity take place in bad weather?
Yes. Weather conditions are part of the nature experience, so rain alone is not a reason to cancel. We ask participants to dress accordingly. Only in case of storm or severe weather will the activity be cancelled for safety reasons.

What happens if an activity is cancelled?
The organization closely monitors weather conditions and communicates any cancellation at least 24 hours in advance. In that case, we usually offer a “rain check” and reschedule the session.
