About Yugeneration & Treewise

Relax, slow down and restore in nature during guided forest bathing sessions.

Yugeneration is the non-profit project of Yugen. For every bottle or can sold, 2 cents go to the foundation — bringing people back to nature and helping to restore it.

The name says it all: YUGENeration. Yugen is a Japanese concept — the sense of wonder you feel for the beauty of nature. That feeling lives in every can, every bottle.

This spring, we are organizing a series of free activities, including Forest Bathing.

That’s why we’re joining forces with Treewise for a series of forest bathing sessions: slow, guided nature walks where, through simple sensory exercises and pure nature immersion, you can unwind and boost your mental and physical wellbeing.

Within this series, we also organize specific sessions for people recovering from burnout. These sessions take place in smaller groups and offer extra attention to rest, safety and recovery.

What is Forest Bathing?

A forest bath is a conscious and slow nature experience — in the forest and in a group.

During a forest bathing session, you take a gentle walk through the forest, with attention to your senses, nature and yourself.

Forest bathing — also known as shinrin-yoku — is an innovative practice used in certain countries to reduce stress, support burnout recovery and reconnect with nature.

The sessions are accessible to anyone looking for support in burnout recovery through nature. You are guided by an experienced forest bathing guide and mental wellbeing coach. You deeply relax and recharge, while also learning how to use nature connection as a tool for relaxation in your daily life.

But for us, it goes beyond forest bathing alone.
It’s also about:

  • Learning to see and experience nature in a different way

  • Raising awareness about the impact of nature on mind and body

  • Highlighting the importance of nature conservation from a new perspective

  • Offering an authentic experience that is accessible to everyone

That’s what Treewise stands for.

What can you expect?

During a 3.5 to 4-hour session, Anthony Bal, forest bathing guide and mental wellbeing coach, takes you on a nature experience.

You will discover, among other things:

  • How to reconnect with the forest and nature around you through your senses

  • How slowing down and awareness help you get out of your head and into the present moment

  • The benefits of conscious nature immersion — both physically and mentally

  • How to integrate the calming power of nature into your daily life

During these sessions for people recovering from burnout, there is also space for reflection and sharing your experiences — in a safe and supportive environment.

We close the session with a shared cup of tea made from natural ingredients.

Participation & Access

🎟 Ticket price: Free*

At Yugeneration, we aim to reconnect as many people as possible with nature. That’s why our events are completely free* and open to all ages.

To avoid overwhelming nature, we work with a limited number of spots per activity. Registration is therefore required.

*To avoid no-shows, we ask for a reservation fee. This will be fully refunded after your attendance. This allows us to distribute spots fairly and ensure that those who register actually participate.

Yugeneration is intended for individuals (no group or corporate registrations). Each person can participate in a maximum of 1 session per season; additional registrations may be cancelled. More details can be found in the FAQ.

FAQ

Do I need to register for the event?
Yes. As we work with a limited number of spots per activity, registration is required. This helps us ensure a pleasant experience for everyone and respect for nature.

Why do I need to pay a reservation fee if the event is free?
Our events are completely free because we want to reconnect as many people as possible with nature. To avoid no-shows, we ask for a small reservation fee. This will be fully refunded after your attendance.

What ages are the events suitable for?
Our events are open to all ages, unless stated otherwise on the event page. For burnout recovery forest bathing sessions, we specifically focus on participants who are in recovery.

What if I can no longer attend?
If you can no longer participate, please unsubscribe in time and notify us via email: [email protected] so someone else can take your spot. If you do not show up without notice, your reservation fee will be donated to Yugeneration.

What should I bring?
This may vary per activity. Practical information such as clothing, materials or preparation will be shared on the event page. For additional questions, you can contact: [email protected]

Where exactly does the event take place?
The exact location and practical details are usually shared after registration or a few days before the event. For additional questions, contact: [email protected]

Will the activity take place in bad weather?
Yes. Weather conditions are part of the nature experience, so rain alone is not a reason to cancel. We ask participants to dress accordingly. Only in case of storm or severe weather will the activity be cancelled for safety reasons.

What happens if an activity is cancelled?
The organization closely monitors weather conditions and communicates any cancellation at least 24 hours in advance. In that case, we usually offer a “rain check” and reschedule the session.

Can I participate in multiple sessions?
Yugeneration is designed for individuals who want to recharge in nature. To ensure fair access for everyone, the following rules apply:

  • Participation is exclusively for individuals (no corporate events, team buildings or group registrations). If you wish to participate as a company, organization or group, please contact the activity organizer directly for a tailored experience

  • Maximum of 1 session per person per season. Duplicate registrations (checked via email and phone number) may be cancelled to give as many people as possible the opportunity to participate
