BLUE VELVET David Lynch Film Screening

FOMO Secret Cinema, Tbilisi

Stanly Kubrick's black monolith in 2001. Neo's text message in THE MATRIX. Llewellyn Moss's discovery of a briefcase full of drug money in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. As far as catalysts go, Kyle MacLachlan's discovery of a severed ear in David Lynch's BLUE VELVET has to rank up there as one of the all time great intros to a film.

Director David Lynch peels back suburbia to reveal something unsettling underneath. Dennis Hopper’s intensity is terrifying, and Isabella Rossellini’s fragility gives the story heart. Lynch's trademark RGB and strange calm make every scene feel unreal. It’s both a mystery and a dream you can’t shake off.

Presented in the original English audio with English subtitles.
