Antoine Boyer & Yeore Kim bring together the traditions of gypsy jazz, classical guitar, and a wide spectrum of global influences. Their music is shaped by virtuosic technique, diverse musical backgrounds, and a striking onstage chemistry that carries listeners across genres and sound worlds.
French guitarist Antoine Boyer draws inspiration from the most authentic sources of gypsy jazz, having studied under masters such as Mandino Reinhardt and Francis-Alfred Moerman. He has performed at major gypsy jazz festivals across Europe and the United States, sharing the stage with renowned musicians including Stochelo Rosenberg, Angelo Debarre, and Raphaël Faÿs. In addition to his mastery of gypsy jazz, Boyer is also a classically trained guitarist, having won the Montigny Classical Guitar Competition and earning the “Révélation Guitare Classique 2016” award from the esteemed French magazine Guitare Classique. His eclectic musical background has shaped a unique playing style that seamlessly blends various guitar techniques accumulated over the years.
Harmonica virtuoso Yeore Kim has been a prominent figure on the Korean jazz scene since her teenage years. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, she is also proficient in trumpet, drums, cello, and piano. Yeore holds a master's degree from Seoul Music University and has achieved victories at esteemed competitions, including the Asia Pacific Harmonica Festival, Seoul Harmonica Festival, and World Harmonica Festival. She has performed extensively in Korea, India, Japan, and more recently across Europe, across genres ranging from jazz and reggae to theater collaborations, tango, pop, and rock.
The paths of Antoine and Yeore converged in 2018 at the Gypsy Jazz Festival of Taipei, Taiwan, where they shared the stage for the first time. Recognizing the magic of their musical connection, they decided to form a duo, both in music and in life. Their musical chemistry knows no bounds, captivating audiences with a repertoire that spans pop and jazz standards alongside mesmerizing originals. From the strum of the guitar to the soul-stirring wail of the harmonica, their unique fusion transports listeners to a realm where every note tells a story.
