Andreas Hourdakis Quartet (SE) / Viljandi Kitarrifestival 2025

Saturday 11. October at 21:00

Estonian Traditional Music Center, Viljandi

Andreas Hourdakis Quartet (SE) will perform at the Viljandi Guitar Festival on October 11.

Not many guitar players are as versatile as Swedish jazz-guitarist Andreas Hourdakis. Over recent years, his concerts have taken place everywhere from distinguished jazz venues and sweaty rock clubs to large arenas. Within the jazz world, his collaborations with artists such as Magnus Öström, Lars Danielsson, Karin Hammar, Sebastian Studnitzky, and Jeanette Lindström have brought him to some of Europe’s most respected jazz stages — and in every setting, his unique sound is unmistakable.

Last year, Andreas Hourdakis released his latest album Report To Keftiu with his newly formed quartet. Swedish music magazine Lira wrote in their review of the new record, “Everyone performs on a high level, not least Andreas who plays brilliantly throughout the album.”

Emerging from the rich musical heritage of his native island of Crete and thriving in Sweden’s dynamic jazz environment, Andreas Hourdakis disrupts the jazz world with his genre-bending improvisations and electrifying stage presence.
