Water Explorers - Afternoon - Aldouran Wetland Garden
Aldouran Wetland Garden & Woodland Trails, Stranraer
Join Ranger Toni and Forest School Leader Pauline on Tuesday the 8th of July at 1pm to explore the wonders that lurk below the surface of the water.
We'll go pond dipping to uncover the tiny creatures living below the surface, spot dragonflies dancing above the water, and see what kind of birds use the ponds to survive. It's the perfect chance for curious young nature lovers to explore the magic of pond life and learn about the amazing wildlife that calls it home!
This is session is for children aged 8-12 years old. Children can be left unaccompanied, but parents and guardians are more than welcome to stay and play too! Children will be supervised by 2 Forest School Leaders who are PVG checked. Please note: If your child requires additional support or has behavioural needs, we kindly ask that a parent or carer accompanies them during the session, as we are unable to provide 1:1 support.
These events are led by Dumfries & Galloway Woodlands with funding from the D&G Coastal Benefit Fund and the Solway Coast & Marine Project (SCAMP).
