Ahmet Bilge brings The Turkish Dream to Vienna: sharp English stand-up about Turkey, America, Europe, family, identity and life between cultures.
The Turkish Dream is coming to Vienna!
International stand-up comedian Ahmet Bilge brings The Turkish Dream to The Comedy Pub Vienna for one night of English-language stand-up comedy about culture, family, identity, immigration and the madness of living between different worlds.
Born into a Turkish family, raised in America and eventually ending up in Switzerland, Ahmet has spent his life navigating different cultures, languages and expectations. The result is a fast, sharp and highly personal comedy show built around one simple idea: The Turkish Dream is not living in Turkey anymore.
From Turkish family drama and American craziness to European culture shocks and the absurdities of life in Switzerland, Ahmet turns his multicultural background into stand-up that audiences from almost anywhere can relate to.
Expect sharp cultural observations, personal stories, spontaneous crowd work and unpredictable moments as Ahmet moves between Turkey, America, Europe and everything in between.
Whether you are Turkish, Austrian, American, European, an expat, an immigrant or simply someone who enjoys smart international stand-up comedy, The Turkish Dream is built for a crowd that understands what it feels like to live between cultures.
Ahmet Bilge has performed internationally across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia, including appearances at renowned comedy clubs and festivals. His touring career has taken him from The Comedy Store in Los Angeles to shows in London, Berlin, Amsterdam, New York, Toronto, Singapore and beyond.
He has appeared on SRF and Comedy Central DE and has built a large international audience across social media, with more than 200,000 followers across platforms and over 100 million online views.
Along the way, Ahmet has worked with internationally known comedians including Louis C.K., Russell Peters, Bassem Youssef, Rafi Bastos, Judah Friedlander, Ian Fidance and Sammy Obeid.
Now he brings The Turkish Dream to Vienna.
If you are looking for English stand-up comedy in Vienna, international comedy, Turkish comedy, expat events, Vienna nightlife or simply something genuinely funny to do in the city, this show offers a full night of live comedy in an intimate comedy-club setting.
Audience members have praised Ahmet for his sharp humour, spontaneous crowd interaction and the feeling that every performance is different. His comedy combines personal storytelling with observations about culture, relationships, family and the strange situations that come from trying to belong in more than one place at once.
