Mikael Saastamoinen performs a selection of compositions on double bass by, among others, Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane and Charles Mingus.
Mikael Saastamoinen is one of the leading figures of contemporary Finnish jazz bass playing, and he can be heard in groups such as Superposition! and OK:KO as well as in numerous other ensembles and jam sessions.
The concert is supported by City of Helsinki, Svenska Kulturfonden and The Finnish Music Foundation.
