"Yura was here": Premiere in Berlin

At 30, Oleg and Seryoga are still dreaming of becoming rock stars. They play in a little-known band, share a cramped flat, and are getting ready for an important gig at a local festival. But just before the show, they suddenly find themselves having to look after Oleg’s uncle - a 50-year-old man with mental disabilities whom they can’t leave on his own for even a minute.

"Yura Was Here" is the feature-length debut of director Sergey Malkin. The film premiered at "Mayak," a festival of contemporary Russian cinema. The picture won in two categories: the Grand Prix for Best Film and Best Actor (Konstantin Khabensky).
