Youth Exchange 2026 - Wednesday - Suomenlinna

Description

Discover Suomenlinna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Finland's most famous sea fortresses. We will explore the historic islands, enjoy beautiful sea views, and spend the day together with other Youth Exchange participants.

Meeting Point

📍 Main Entrance of Kamppi Shopping Centre (close to Kamppi metro station)
Urho Kekkosen katu 1, 00100 Helsinki

🕘 Meet at 10:30

Please arrive on time! We will start by buying picnic food and drinks, so you can choose whatever you like.

We will then walk together to Helsinki Market Square, where we will take the ferry to Suomenlinna.

Return

We will return by ferry to Helsinki Market Square and walk back together to Kamppi Shopping Centre, arriving at approximately 16:00.

What Is Included in the Youth Exchange Participant Ticket

• Boat (HSL) ticket from Kauppatori to Suomenlinna and back

• Picnic food and one drink (you are also welcome to bring your favourite food if you wish)

What to bring

• Comfortable walking shoes

• Weather-appropriate clothing

• Water bottle

• Playing cards or a small outdoor game to enjoy on the grass (optional)

• Swimsuit and towel (optional, if you would like to swim in the sea)

• Money or a payment card if you would like to buy ice cream, souvenirs, or other treats. (optional)
