YOU & ME makes a return to Dublin with guest star Ruth Negga.

YOU & ME is a critically-acclaimed two-person, no-suggestion, completely improvised long-form improv set conceived by award-winning Chicago stage and film actor Michael Patrick Thornton.

YOU & ME has enjoyed runs at Chicago’s famed Second City and Steppenwolf theatres. Bridging the worlds of improv and theatre through nuanced scenework, The Chicago Reader calls the show “masterful.” Previous guests include Oscar Nominee Michael Shannon, Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award Winner Tracy Letts, Steppenwolf ensemble member and Tony nominee Amy Morton, the Grammy nominated Spektral Quartet, and improv legends TJ Jagadowski, David Pasquesi, and Susan Messing.

Ruth Negga is an Ethiopian-Irish actor known for her work across film, television, and stage. She earned widespread acclaim for performances in Loving, Preacher, and Passing, and her work has brought her major recognition including an Academy Award nomination, a Golden Globe nomination, and a BAFTA Rising Star Award nomination.

Michael Patrick Thornton is an American actor, stage performer, director, and co-founder of Chicago’s Gift Theatre, known for his work on both screen and stage. He is widely recognized for playing Dr. Gabriel Fife on Private Practice and for acclaimed Broadway and Chicago theater performances, including roles in Macbeth, A Doll’s House, and Waiting for Godot.

With support from the dark comedy trio "Murder She Wrote!" starring Jenna O'Brien, Roísín McHugh and Neil Curran.
