This Sunday Jenny will guide us through a restorative Yin yoga session at Pust. Yin yoga is a deep, meditative style of yoga focused on relaxation, breath and awareness. Yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slow and meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time (usually 3-5 minutes), yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.

Bring your own yoga mat, a warm blanket and a bolster/pillow. It can be a cooling practice. It’s recommended to dress in layers and bring warm socks.

You do not need any previous experience to attend.

About the teacher:
Jenny Sørensen Vaage teaches Yin and Hatha yoga at InSPIRE Yogastudio. She completed two of her yoga teacher trainings in India in 2018 and has continued her education ever since, both through self-studies and continued education. She has a functional approach to yoga, and is a firm believer that yoga is for every body. She is known for her calming voice and is always focused on helping her students find ease and space of both body and mind in her yoga classes.
