Shivaratri – “The Night of Shiva”
Shivaratri means “The Night of Shiva” – a sacred night dedicated to Lord Shiva, the destroyer and bringer of rebirth in the holy trinity of Hinduism. It is a deeply spiritual time for silence, meditation, and chanting Shiva’s name.
It is believed that on this night, Shiva’s consciousness is especially strong on Earth, making inner awakening and purification more accessible. Devotees fast, perform rituals, and stay awake through the night, praying and meditating to release negativity and move toward spiritual illumination.
Suggestions for Celebrating Shivaratri
1. Fasting
Fasting during Shivaratri helps cleanse the body and mind. One may observe a water fast or consume only simple plant-based food (e.g., fruits, nuts, milk).
2. Meditation and Silence
Spend part of the day or night in silence, focusing inward. Shiva symbolizes inner stillness and complete presence—try to embody this state.
3. Chanting Mantras
Chant Shiva’s mantra, such as “Om Namah Shivaya.” You can repeat it 108 times or keep it in your mind continuously to deepen your connection.
4. Honoring Shiva through Abhishekam or Havan
If possible, perform a ritual bathing (abhishekam) of the Shiva lingam using water, milk, or honey. This represents surrender to the divine and inner purification.
5. Light and Flame
Light candles or oil lamps. Light symbolizes the awakening of consciousness and the inner light that Shiva represents.
6. Listening to or Reading Shiva Stories and Scriptures
Listen to or read stories of Shiva (such as excerpts from the Shiva Purana) or meditate on the meaning of his symbols.
7. Night Vigil
Stay awake for at least part of the night—this symbolizes spiritual alertness and readiness for inner awakening.

Yagya Narasimha Jayanti 10.05.2025: on-site participation
Narasimha Jayanti – The Emergence of Protective Power
Narasimha Jayanti is the day that celebrates the appearance of Lord Narasimha, the fourth avatar of Vishnu. His half-man, half-lion form symbolises divine strength that manifests to protect righteousness and the devoted.
According to legend, Narasimha appeared in a flash to save his devotee Prahlada by destroying the tyrant Hiranyakashipu. He came not in anger, but as a loving force restoring justice.
Today we remember: when the heart is pure and faith is sincere, protection always arrives — unexpectedly, yet precisely on time.
Take a moment for silence.
Pray for courage, faith, and inner strength.
May the power of Narasimha always dwell in your heart — fearless, just, and unwavering.

Yagya Buddha Purnima 12.05.2025: on-site participation
Buddha Purnima is the sacred day commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and mahaparinirvana of Siddhartha Gautama Buddha — all of which occurred on the full moon. This day symbolizes awakening, compassion, and inner peace.
Buddha taught that suffering can be overcome through awareness, understanding, and compassion. His path is not an escape, but a deep recognition of truth and liberation from within.
Today, we are invited to turn inward — to find stillness amid change, and peace amid noise.
Take a moment for silence.
Meditate.
Wish peace for the world — and bring that peace into your own heart.
May the light of Buddha always shine within you — clear, awakened, and free.
