🎯 Tournament Goal

We aim to unite athletes from around the world and give everyone the opportunity to participate in international competition without leaving their own gym. You perform where you feel most comfortable — in your regular training space.

🧩 Format and Entry Fees

Both men and women are welcome to participate. You choose which division to compete in:

Professional Division

  • 💵 Entry fee: $50
  • 💰 The prize pool is distributed among the winners

Amateur Division

  • 💵 Entry fee: $5
  • 📜 No cash prizes, but participants receive certificates

🏋️‍♂️ Lift Execution Rules

🎥 Video Recording Rules (Show to Your Camera Operator)

The video must be uncut — the camera must not stop at any point. No edits, cuts, or splicing are allowed. The entire performance must be recorded in a single take.

If using a smartphone to film — hold it horizontally.

The video must include the following stages:
1. Weigh-in. The athlete and the scale reading must both be clearly visible in the frame.
2. Barbell loading. All plates and their weight markings must be clearly visible.
3. Competition attempt. Before the attempt, the camera must be positioned correctly. Place it diagonally to the athlete so that both the knees and hips are clearly visible. Only one — your best — attempt is allowed.

🎓 Judging

All videos are reviewed by the official WPPL judging panel.

Judges will assess:

  • correct execution of the lift according to the rules
  • technique, lockout, and completion of the movement
  • compliance with technical requirements (camera angle, continuity, bar loading, etc.)

Each performance is judged independently, regardless of the athlete’s country or club. All judging decisions are final.

🏆 Prizes

Cash prizes are awarded only in the Professional Division:

  • 🥇 1st place — 25% of the total entry fees
  • 🥈 2nd place — 15%
  • 🥉 3rd place — 10%

📊 How Winners Are Determined

Winners are ranked using the Wilks coefficient, which considers both the lifted weight and the athlete’s body weight.

Men and women compete in separate categories. Awards are presented within each category independently.
