Deepen your EMDR practice with Jim Knipe’s EMDR Toolbox: Part 1
Join Sonya Farrell for the first in a five-part workshop series exploring Jim Knipe’s innovative approaches to working with complex trauma, dissociation and parts.
This experiential workshop introduces Jim Knipe’s Ovals method and explores creative, practical ways of understanding and working with clients’ internal systems. You will learn how to map your clients using the Ovals method, explore working with parts through drawing, and discover how to create a Conference Room/Safe Place where parts can meet. We will also introduce the Internal Healing Dialogue, exploring how communication between parts can support understanding, cooperation and healing.
Through guided, experiential practice, you will have the opportunity to explore these approaches and consider how to integrate them into your clinical work with greater confidence and skill.
What will you learn?
Ovals: Learn how to map your clients’ internal systems using Jim Knipe’s Ovals method.
Working with parts: Explore ways of identifying and working with different parts of the self, including through drawing.
The Conference Room/Safe Place: Learn how to draw a creative safe space where parts can meet.
Internal Healing Dialogue: Explore ways to facilitate communication and understanding between parts. Reducing dissociation.
Experiential practice: Develop your understanding of these techniques through guided exercises and consider their application with complex clients.
Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is suitable for EMDR therapists who have completed their EMDR Basic Training (Parts 1–3) or an equivalent recognised training.
