Join a public themed tour and journey beneath the surface of PoCo’s exhibition.
In this thematic tour, we dive into an era where, despite the fact that there were few female artists, women were to be found in abundance in artworks.
We explore how women were portrayed, who they were and what roles or perceptions they embodied. We look at who was the composite figure of the woman portrayed by Warhol or Lichtenstein and how this differs from the work of contemporary artists.
The guided tour will look at female artists who received less attention during the heyday of pop art, such as Yayoi Kusama and Barbara Kruger, as well as contemporary artists using pop techniques, such as Bambi, Noisy, Mall Nukke and others.
