Tuesday 18. November at 19:30 - 21:00 BST

Online

Tree id in summer when trees are in leaf is 'easy'...right?!
But through a long Dumfries & Galloway winter, trees might not be in leaf and we might need a different selection of skills for identification.

This event introduces the concept of ID'ing trees in winter, with 'what to look for' tips and methods that can help.

The event will feature a presentation by James Kendall, of Woodland Classroom (https://woodlandclassroom.com/). We are so excited to be hosting James, if you've seen his events before you'll know they are packed with accessible info, making easy and accessible viewing.

Have your typing hands free as there might be some quizzes along the way!

This informal, fun and free workshop that aims to increase your understanding of local species and improve your ability to identify them.

The event is delivered online through the Streamyard platform, with lots of opportunity for the audience to put questions to the speaker. Streamyard requires nothing to be downloaded onto your computer, we will send a joining link out to signed up attendees in the day before the event.

This event is part of the 'Knowledge Knovember' programme of events. Three online events, on consecutive Tuesday evenings in November, all possible thanks to support form a wide range of partners, including The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The event is delivered by Dumfries & Galloway Woodlands, a charity supporting trees, habitats and the people that depend upon them in the region. For more information, visit www.dgwoodlands.org.uk.
