Where Is Your Husband? English Comedy Storytelling Show by Anshita Koul

Friday 30. May at 18:30 - 21:00

Vela - LGBTQIA Club, Copenhagen

Comedian Anshita Koul gets a lot of annoying messages on Instagram on a daily basis like

"Hello Ma'am, Big Fan! What do you do ?" "Ma'am, what is your height?"

"How are you?"

And she has wilfully turned these unpleasant pleasantries into comedy routines as one does. But in this hour long comedy storytelling special, Anshita will finally answer the most frequently asked question she gets on all social media platforms "Where Is Your Husband?” since she stopped performing the Oscar worthy role of a wife to gain more patrons on the interweb.

A heartbreaking, mind bending and booty shaking true tale of love, loss and cognitive dissonance brought to you with utmost sincerity, hilarity and animosity by Madam Anshita Didi (a stage name given by her Reddit fans and trolls).

Here are some reviews about the show from important sources.

"Being a part of this true story made me emotionally and financially rich!"

  • Anshita's Therapist

"A masterclass in how to break the matrix and your brain!"

  • Anshita's close friends.

"I might be fictional."

  • Anshita's Husband

About Anshita Koul

Anshita Koul (she/they) is a Berlin based, internationally touring and an independent polyglot comedian from India. When not touring, Anshita is the host and producer of multiple comedy shows and also is the creator of Berlin’s only QTIBIPOC comedy night. They have created a name for themselves in the English comedy scene in Europe with their political satires, funny punch up routines and an unfunny itch to decolonise standup comedy.

Anshita started her standup career on Indian reality TV show TLC presents Queens of Comedy 2017. She was the only comedian from Europe to make it to Funny Women Awards 2022 Finals in the UK and was most recently seen opening for Emmy Award winner comedian Vir Das on his European comedy tour Mindfool in October 2024.

Anshita will be supported by two local comedians at the show.
