We Lived a Happy Life – Ilya Leutin's black comedy about fighting teen extremism.

Ludmila Ivanovna, aged 83, struggles with memory issues while raising her grandson.
Alyosha, 16, is finishing school and preparing for university.

One Sunday morning, the police break into their house and arrest Alyosha. Ludmila Ivanovna tries to understand what her grandson has done. Words like "meme," "repost," and "extremism" are unfamiliar to her. Thus begins Ludmila Ivanovna's journey into her grandson's life and the social challenges of rural Russia.

Ilya Leutin was born in Kemerovo and graduated from the Directing Faculty of VGIK (workshop of S.A. Solovyov and V.D. Rubinchik).

The film participated in the "New Movement" Film Festival and won the award for Best Actress.

The movie will be shown in Russian with English subtitles. Donations of any amount can be left on the registration form or already on the evening.
