Absolutely no prior experience is needed!

💡 Before you arrive: We highly recommend saving a few photos or sketches of ring designs you love on your phone to use as inspiration!

How It Works?

🛠️ Part 1: What You Do at the Workshop

1. Size & Sketch: First, we measure your finger for a perfect fit, then draw a quick, simple sketch to map out your idea.

2. Shape the Wax: You will get a block of professional green jewelry wax. You’ll use simple professional tools to carve, file, and smooth it into your desired shape.

3. Optional - Play with Heat: If you want, you can also melt the wax a little bit to create cool textures, organic ripples, or molten droplets!

4. The Golden Rule: Whatever you create in wax is exactly what your silver ring will look like. The metal will capture every single line, texture, and detail you make!

🔍 What is the "Lost-Wax" Casting Method?

It is an ancient, magical jewelry technique! Essentially, a plaster mold is poured around your wax creation. When heated, the wax melts completely away and disappears (it gets "lost"). This leaves a perfect hollow space inside the plaster, which is then filled with molten silver. Your wax design literally transforms into precious metal!

🔥 Part 2: The Magic Behind the Scenes (What I Do For You)

Once the workshop is over, you can go home and relax while the magic happens:

• The Cast: I bring your finished wax piece to a specialist caster here in Tallinn to perform the lost-wax casting described above, filling the mold with hot, liquid sterling silver.

• The Hand Polish: I collect your raw silver ring. When your ring first comes out of the casting mold, it doesn't look shiny yet! It is actually raw metal—meaning it is completely matte, rough to the touch, and has sharp edges from the pouring process.
  I then spend about 1 to 2 hours per ring sawing off rough edges, filing it down, and hand-polishing it until it is perfectly shiny and beautiful.

⏳ When Is It Ready?

Because of the casting and careful hand-polishing process, your finished solid silver jewelry will be ready to pick up 3 to 4 weeks after the workshop.

⚖️ Silver Weight & Cost

• A regular silver ring usually weighs around 10 grams.

• Your ticket includes all materials and silver up to 12 grams (which is plenty for a standard ring!).

• If you decide to make a super chunky, extra-heavy piece that goes over 12 grams, there will be an additional fee of 4€ per extra gram to cover the extra silver.
