Fatigued

Saturday 28. February at 14:00 - 17:00

"Sõprus" Cinema, Tallinn

The Ukrainian Film Club in Estonia / Ukraina kinoklubi Eestis invites all Ukrainians living in Estonia and our Estonian friends to a screening of the film “Fatigued”, which will take place on February 28 at 14:00, traditionally at Kino Sõprus.

The screening is dedicated to marking the 4th anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine and the 3rd anniversary of the founding of the Ukrainian Film Club in Estonia.

The film “Fatigued” was shot in Kyiv in spring 2025. Ukrainian veterans and active-duty service members took part in the filming. In November 2025, the film won the Grand Prix at the 54th Molodist International Film Festival.
In Tallinn, the film will be personally presented by its producer Philip Illienko — a renowned Ukrainian filmmaker and Head of the State Film Agency of Ukraine (2014–2019). After the screening, Philip Illienko will answer questions from the audience and speak about the filmmaking process.

“Fatigued” is the directorial debut of acclaimed Ukrainian cinematographer Yurii Dunai, who currently serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The film tells the story of war veterans Liuba and Andrii, who carry both physical wounds and the invisible scars of post-traumatic stress disorder. They meet during rehabilitation while struggling with their trauma. Their strong bond gives hope, yet misunderstanding from others and their own inner fears threaten to destroy it.
Starring Valeriia Khodos, Dmytro Sova, and Irma Vitovska.

By the end of 2025, the number of veterans in Ukraine exceeded 1.5 million. Today, veterans are not only part of the army, but also the backbone of civil society. Their reintegration is a key challenge for the country’s stability. Their destinies, resilience, and daily struggle are a living reminder of the price Ukraine pays for its freedom — a price felt especially strongly on the eve of a date that became a turning point for Ukraine and the world.

On February 24, 2026, it will be four years since the start of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine. Four years of shared grief and lost lives. Four years of unity and resilience, during which Ukraine has not only endured but has united the entire democratic world around itself. Four years of powerful support from our partners, including Estonia and the Estonian people 🇪🇪

Therefore, during the screening we will also join the global initiative “Stop the Evil Together”, launched by the international digital community Strichka.
Today, the Ukrainian people are defending not only their own freedom. Ukraine’s struggle is a defense of shared democratic values, not merely an issue of Russian–Ukrainian relations. Talks about peace negotiations at the cost of Ukrainian concessions are increasingly frequent, but we must remember: any agreement with an aggressor at the expense of the victim only leads to further escalation. Russia’s aggression does not stop at Ukraine’s borders. If Ukraine falls, Europe falls too.

🎬 On this day we will also celebrate the 3rd anniversary of our Film Club. To mark the occasion, we invite all our supporters who have attended Ukrainian Film Club screenings over the past three years and will hold a festive lottery with valuable prizes.

The Ukrainian song and dance group “Volya” and the band “Dzherelo” will also perform.

We would be happy to have you join us and celebrate this day together!
