From a Small Market to the World – Conversation with Danish Photojournalist Christian Falck Wolff

On 8 October at 7 PM, Techno Tallinn (Tallinn College of Technology, Pärnu mnt 57) will host a conversation with Danish photojournalist Christian Falck Wolff.
Christian Falck Wolff (b. 2000) graduated as a photojournalist from the Danish School of Media and Journalism in Aarhus. He works as a freelance photographer based in Copenhagen, where he collaborates with media outlets and organizations. Over the past three years, through his personal project Generation Climate, he has photographed and followed a generation of young European climate activists, documenting their fight against climate change. In addition, he covers political unrest and conflicts across Eastern Europe. Christian Falck Wolff has exhibited his work at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Zagreb, Les Rencontres de la Photographie in Arles, and Fotografisk Center in Copenhagen. In 2024, he was named Danish Press Photographer of the Year, and he has previously won the Danish Press Photo of the Year.
The conversation will focus on how a young photographer can move from a small home market to an international audience while developing a distinctive personal style along the way.
Christian will talk about his work and experiences and discuss topics including:
a small market and big ambitions;
editorial expectations and a photographer’s personal style;
the skills needed by the next generation of photojournalists;
what happens after the first major recognition.
The conversation takes place on 8 October at 7 PM at Techno Tallinn (Tallinn College of Technology), A-407 auditorium, Pärnu mnt 57, Tallinn.
The conversation will be held in English.
The event is free of charge, but registration via Fienta is required.
The event is organised by Canon Nordic, Overall Eesti, the Estonian Association of Press Photographers and Techno Tallinn.
