TYPA spring workshop bites are coming again!
TYPA centre happily invites everyone to come participate in our regular workshops on every Thursday evening in April! This is a good chance to try something new, especially if you haven’t had the necessary group of people to order one of our workshops. No previous experience is needed for the workshops!
Spring workshop bites:
3 April, 5:30-7:30PM - Drypoint workshop
10 April, 5:30-7:30PM - Linocut workshop
17 April, 5:30-7:30PM - Cyanotype workshop
24 April, 5:30-7:30PM - Handmade paper workshop
On 3rd April you can try out our drypoint workshop. Drypoint is a really simple printmaking technique where you scratch an image onto a metal or plastic sheet, fill the furrows with ink and print it on a special intaglio press. Try out one of our simple designs or come up with your own and print!
On 10th April there will be a linocut workshop where you can cut your image into lino and print it on one of our presses.
On 17th April you can try your hand with cyanotypes! Cyanotype is a historical photography technique which can be used to make lovely illustrations and prints. If the weather allows it, we are going to use sunlight to develop our images.
On 24th April we will host a papermaking workshop where everyone can make different coloured handmade papers and decorate them with flowers or small tidbits.
All the workshops will start at 5.30 PM and last approximately 2 hours.
