Writer Eero (Tommi Korpela) is watching his literary career steadily decline, and his latest novel has ground to a frustrating halt. Pihla (Laura Birn) is an ambitious actress on the verge of an international breakthrough. Neither is willing to compromise on their career, even though their relationship is in worse shape than ever.

Desperate to revive his career, Eero resorts to increasingly unusual measures. Determined to have it all, Pihla sets out to balance her acting career with her new role as a mother. But can two ambitious dreams coexist in the same relationship? As they search for answers, their journeys take them from Finnish Lapland to Havana and Hollywood.

Void, directed by Aleksi Salmenperä, is a bittersweet and darkly humorous film about the price of success and the pain of failure. With warmth and wit, it pokes fun at the seriousness of work, art, and those moments when two people simply fail to understand each other.
