KNITTING TRIANGLES — With product designer and knitter Eileen GoodWarm up with a (re)beginner's project by knitting the Sophie Scarf from Petit Knit – from tip to tip with an I-Cord edge. I’ll guide you through all the essential steps so you can start the project relaxed and continue knitting at home.
Interested in a knitting project? In this workshop, we will knit the start of the Sophie Scarf by Petit Knit—a perfect project for knitting beginners and those returning to the craft.
We will work from tip to tip using the garter stitch technique and a stylish I-Cord edge. I will show you step by step how to complete the project from beginning to end.
You’ll learn the basics of knitting, from reading simple knitting patterns and casting on to the I-Cord edge, while discovering how easy it can be to achieve a great result. Throughout the workshop, I will explain all the techniques so you can dive into your knitting project with ease and no stress. By the end of the workshop, you will have all the necessary skills and tools to finish your Sophie Scarf at home.
I look forward to a cozy session and to guiding you through your knitting journey!
After graduating in Industrial Design from ZHdK, Eileen Good works as a teaching assistant and continues to develop her creative projects. Her passion for knitting, both by hand and machine, drives her to discover new technical and creative possibilities.
What to bring: Bring a ball of yarn of your choice (e.g., "Cashmere Premium" from Lang Yarns or "Double Sunday" from Sandnes). You will also need matching knitting needles in 3.5 mm, 4 mm, or 4.5 mm. These can either be circular needles with a 60 cm cable or straight needles. You can knit the Sophie Scarf with different needle sizes and yarns – depending on the materials, your scarf will be finer or bulkier. Your choice!
No prior experience required.
