TIF 26 – SPEEDMEETING: Illustrator + Writer

The workshop that brought so much excitement and creative challenge last year is back! Illustrators and writers, get ready — Tartu Illustration Festival invites you to speed meet each other!

Speedmeeting: Illustrator + Writer is a playful and creative workshop inspired by the speed-dating format. Its aim is to bring together different kinds of creators, experiment with storytelling and visual interpretation, exchange ideas, and of course, spark new collaborations. The format is fast-paced and encourages experimentation and new ideas.

When and where?
The workshops take place at Krabi x Gaffer Bar, located in the courtyard of Aparaaditehas. There are in total 2 workshops, one in Estonian (Friday) and the other in English (Saturday). Participation is free of charge, but advance registration is required. Please reserve your free ticket through Fienta website.

Who should try speedmeeting?
Both beginner and experienced writers and illustrators are welcome, regardless of age or preferred genre.

Should I bring anything?
The most important things are an open mind and a good mood — especially for writers.
Illustrators are asked to bring their favourite and most comfortable tools, such as pencils, markers, charcoal, ink or any other preferred drawing materials. Please also bring paper or a sketchbook to draw in. To make exchanging contact information easier, we recommend preparing business cards or paper notes with your name, email address or social media account(s).

Registration
Registration is open from July 28 until all available places have been filled.

Important! This year the workshop takes place on two different days and in two different languages (Estonian and English). To give as many people as possible the opportunity to participate, we kindly ask that you register for one workshop only through Fienta.
