[TICF] Jon Allen Comes Alive: A Stand-Up Comedy Adventure.

After building Cheaper Than Therapy, San Francisco's most beloved independent comedy club, Jon Allen traded the Bay Area for Osaka and hasn't looked back.

Now based in Osaka, Jon is living his second act as a self-proclaimed American refugee in Asia, blending sharp storytelling, viral internet fame, and an outsider's perspective on Japan into a hilarious hour of stand-up about culture shock, reinvention, and the absurdity of modern life.

Also Featuring Tokyo OG Comedian Vinay Murthy and Japanese Roast Battle Champ Yuki Nivez.

The Tokyo International Comedy Festival (TICF) September 17-27, 2025 and will feature Japanese & International comedians. Approximately 70 shows across 6 venues such as Comedy Competitions, Roast Battles, Solo Shows, International headliners, and live podcast recordings.

The primary venues will be Tokyo Comedy Bar, the city’s only dedicated, standup comedy and  Mame Romantic (Haretara Sora ni Mame Maite) in Daikanyama with  additional satellite shows at Nakameguro TapRooms, The Lively Hotel,  the New Sanno Hotel, and the Tokyo American Club.
