Thinking in Billions 2026

​You are welcome to join Latitude59 official opening event Thinking in Billions on May 20th at Kultuurikatel. The event is co-organized with the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Communications and Accelerate Estonia.

This year, Thinking in Billions explores why companies should seek new business opportunities in unregulated markets.

We will dive into how we could utilise genuine regulatory sandboxes - as the one currently being built in Estonia - to create an environment where new technologies and business models can be tested in real-world conditions, even when existing regulations don't yet support them. We will also take a peek into which countries are the most successful examples of creating and utilising regulatory sandboxes, and what is their secret? And finally, how do we foster the courage to take risks within the public sector by eliminating the fear of losing one's job?

Expect conversations about real-world experiences of companies operating in yet-to-be-regulated markets and how governments and businesses can co-create the conditions for billion-euro innovation.
