Looking for love—or at least a good laugh—this Valentine’s Day?

Let’s face it, Luxembourg’s love life can sometimes feel as romantic as waiting for the 19:17 bus that never arrives. But you’re not alone! On 14 February, join four uproarious comedians for a night that will turn the trials and tribulations of expat life into side-splitting comedy gold.

From awkward encounters to cultural clashes, they’ll take you on a rollercoaster of relatable highs and laugh-out-loud lows. So, ditch the clichés, grab your friends (or your date), and come celebrate Valentine’s Day the funniest way possible—with a room full of guffaws and a new perspective on love, life, and Luxembourg.

Tickets cost €12 in advance or €15 on the door. Space is tight so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
Doors open at 19:30.

Why not grab a tasty meal at Le Croque Bedaine before the show? They do tasty cheese and charcuterie platters, their croque monsieurs are the stuff of legends and don't get me started on their fries!

Artists

Jim Williams (USA)

Our headliner is a comedian, voice-over actor, clown and, sometimes, food! Jim Williams is a seasoned comedian with over 20 years of experience performing worldwide in diverse settings, from theatres and festivals to refugee camps and orphanages. His mission is to spread humour and joy to as many people and places as possible. Known for his witty, absurd, and sentimental style, Jim also surprises audiences with sharp, unexpected humour.

His stand-up is both cathartic and brutally honest, often exploring his experiences as a foreigner in Poland for 16 years and tackling universal themes like parenthood, mental health, and marriage. Jim pioneered the English comedy scene in several Polish cities and has performed across Central Europe, Russia, and The Netherlands. His television appearances in Poland include Comedy Central Polska, where he performed in Polish.

Feature: Pearl (UK)

Pearl relocated to Brussels, overcame a spiralling alcohol addiction, and now faces life with dark humour and a bottle of sparkling water. Using comedy as her outlet, she confronts the absurdity of the human condition while breaking down the stigma of addiction one gig at a time. Her material blends raw honesty about sobriety, existential dread, and waxing struggles, making audiences laugh while embracing life's cringe-worthy moments.

With 25 years of performing experience, Pearl debuted her first two-woman show, The Bride Who Shagged Me, at Glastonbury Festival in the late '90s, touring it across London’s spoken word scene. The show was a mix of poetry, erotica, slapstick, and musical jingles, telling the tale of a desperate runaway bride. Today, when not on stage doing stand-up, she performs as one half of the comedy music duo Lucille and Pearl, bringing humor to life with her bass guitar.

Feature: Jerry (TR)

She traded her upper-class life in Turkiye for the charms of Luxembourg, chasing dreams of wealth and romance. But instead of a mansion, she found herself in a cozy 35 s2m apartment, alone.
At 35, she conquered a swimming marathon, and now she’s setting her sights on a running marathon while making music. It’s her own brand of a mid-life crisis, and she has a lot to make fun of!

MC Jess Bauldry (UK/LUX)

Jess is a writer and comedian who claims to have quit being a people pleaser, but let’s be real—she’s still saying “yes” to things she hates. These days, she’s hard at work perfecting her resting bitch face—just kidding, she still smiles at strangers in grocery stores like a weirdo.
When not performing around Europe, Jess is the author of Substack The Alternative Expat Guide to Luxembourg and likes to steal other people’s chips.
