Temperate Rainforest Walk and Talk – Naddle Valley

Saturday 10. May at 10:00 - 13:00

The RSPB at Wild Haweswater, Penrith

A walk and talk in rare temperate rainforest near Shap Cumbria Woodlands
Join Cumbria Woodlands for a walk and talk in our temperate rainforest, home to rare species of lichen, moss and liverworts. Discover what temperate rainforest is and the work Cumbria Connect are doing to restore it.
The 3km walk will largely take place on stone/earth paths in and around the forest, though we will go off-path at times. The gradient is very steep and rocky in places and it can be muddy underfoot.

Unfortunately due to the terrain, this walk is unsuitable for wheelchairs and those with limited mobility. Please contact us if you have additional questions about accessibility.

Due to the length and pitch of the walk, this event is unsuitable for children under 12. Sorry, no dogs on this event.
Wear clothes suited to walking outdoors, long trousers, boots

Bring waterproofs, tick repellent, sun hat, suncream, water and a snack
