TantsuMENÜÜ x Dance Production “Elevator” (Romania)

An elevator is a narrow, enclosed space where people step in and out without direct contact. It is always on the move, but what happens when it suddenly gets stuck mid-journey? In that moment, anything can happen.

The performance pulls the audience into a tense and multifaceted web. Behind the strict uniformed facade of the corporate world, a suffocating microworld unfolds. A seemingly polite and neutral encounter quickly turns into exhaustion, explosive tension, and unpredictable human drama.

Choreographer Ferenc Fehér is one of the most prominent figures in Hungarian dance theatre, with works performed worldwide from China and the United States to South America. His recognizable style emerges from an explosive blend of freestyle dance, martial arts and instinctive animalistic movement.

M Studio from Romania is an internationally acclaimed physical theatre and contemporary dance company. Their stage language boldly walks the line between contemporary dance, movement, and physical theatre, creating intense and captivating visual fusions that offer the audience a powerful, challenging and unforgettable theatre experience.
