Tallinn-Joaveski-Tallinn: bus to a tour and an art exhibition

Event Sat 21.09.2024 16:00–21:00
The bus departs from Krulli Quarter, from the Kopli entrance; Kopli 70a.

We invite you on a few-hour trek into the heart of the Lahemaa National Park, to the industrial village of Joaveski , where designers and creatives have been working for the last few years, connecting with the locals, developing a design toolbox in the framework of the EU project SMOTIES and working in the rooms of the old Joaveski cardboard factory.

The tour will focus on the history of Joaveski, its beautiful geographical location, urban legends and end with an art exhibition on the grounds of the Joaveski factory. The exhibition, mainly dedicated to light art, features artists Raoul Kurvitz, Leonardo Meigas, Anne Türn, Kalle Pruuden, Rikkert Paauw (NED), et al. At the end of this journey of the past we will take a look at the future, as a light futuristic bite will be offered by Future Food.

Your guide for this evening is producer and Stalker Themepark project leader Indrek Leht.

The bus departs from Tallinn at 16:00, the tour starts at 17:00 and the bus leaves from Joaveski Public House back to Tallinn at 20:00.
