Vasant Panchami is celebrated as Saraswati's birthday.
This day is especially good for turning to her and asking for blessings.

Goddess Sarasvatī is the goddess of learning, wisdom, knowledge, intellect, fine arts, refinement, science, and technology. People worship Goddess Sarasvatī to attain enlightenment through knowledge and to be freed from lethargy, laziness, and ignorance.

Sarasvatī Ya Kundendu is the most famous stotram dedicated to the goddess Sarasvatī, composed by the saint Agastyari. The following praise is one verse from the Sarasvatī stotram.
It praises Sarasvatī as the embodiment of creative power and as the embodiment of the innate knowledge within each of us, and we call upon Her to bless us with Her qualities.

Śri Sarasvatī stuti:
yā kundendu tuṣārahāra dhavalā
yā śubhra vastrāvṛtā
yā vīṇāvaradaṇḍamanḍitakarā
yā śvetapadmāsanā |
yā brahmācyuta śaṃkara prabhṛtibhirdevaiḥ sadā pūjitā
sā māṃ pātu sarasvatī bhagavatī niḥśeṣajāḍyāpahā

O goddess Sarasvatī,
who are white like snow or the moon or lotus flowers,
clothed in white garments,
holding excellent wine,
sitting on white lotus flowers,
Forever satiated with offerings
From the gods Brahma, Viṣṇu, and Śiva
Protect us from all ignorance!
