About Yugeneration
Yugeneration is Yugen’s non-profit project. For every bottle or can sold, 2 cents goes to the foundation. Our mission is to reconnect people with nature — while helping to restore it at the same time.
The name says it all: YUGENeration. Yugen is a Japanese concept — the sense of wonder you experience when faced with the beauty of nature. That moment when the vastness of the world around you gives you goosebumps.
We believe that people who truly experience nature are more likely to take care of it. That’s why Yugeneration funds free nature experiences in collaboration with strong local organizations. This spring, we’re organizing a series of free activities in nature, including foraging.
Discover the world of foraging
Foraging is an accessible nature workshop in collaboration with Forest To Plate — open to everyone, with no prior knowledge required.
Together, we’ll explore forests and fields, learn how to identify mushroom, discover their unique flavors and learn to see our surroundings from a different perspective.
It’s all about slowing down, reconnecting with where our food comes from and using our senses — while respecting nature and only taking what we need.
We’ll finish with a small bite and a drink.
About our partner: Forest To Plate
Forest To Plate is a foraging collective with more than 10 years of experience working with edible wild plants & mushroom. Through their activities, they introduce people to a world that often goes unnoticed — yet can be found all around us, waiting to be discovered.

FAQ
Do I need to register for the event?
Yes. As we work with a limited number of places, advance registration is required.
Why do I have to pay a reservation fee if the event is free?
To avoid no-shows, we ask for a small reservation fee. This amount will be fully refunded after you attend the event.
What ages are the events suitable for?
Our events are accessible to all ages, unless otherwise stated on the event page.
What if I can no longer attend?
Can’t make it after all? You can cancel free of charge up to 7 days before the event. Let us know via [email protected], so someone else can take your place. In case of a no-show without prior notice, your reservation fee will be donated to Yugeneration.
What should I bring?
Practical information such as clothing or preparation can be found on the event page and will also be shared after registration. For additional questions, please contact [email protected].
Where exactly does the event take place?
The exact location will be shared after registration or a few days before the event. For questions, please contact [email protected].
Will the activity still take place in bad weather?
Yes. Weather is part of the nature experience, so rain is not a reason to cancel. Please dress accordingly. The event will only be cancelled for safety reasons in the event of a storm or extreme weather.
What happens if an activity is cancelled?
The organization closely monitors the weather and will communicate any cancellation at least 24 hours in advance. In most cases, we’ll arrange a new date.
