Skelton John plays Elton John: A Halloween Special

Performer: Skelton John
Genre: Music
Language: English (very little talking, it’s a music show)
Duration: ~70 min
Age suitability: All ages

A skeleton in a glam suit plays Elton John’s greatest songs. One piano, one voice, 100% live.

💀 Too flashy for heaven. Too nice for hell.

In life, he was an award-winning pianist who played the main stage of Norway’s Notodden Blues Festival and stages from New York to Berlin. In death, he was buried with his glasses and his record collection, with his Elton John records on top. He has had a lot of time to listen.

Now the living have summoned him back to the piano. On Halloween night, Skelton John rises for the very first time to play the songs of Sir Elton John: Your Song, Tiny Dancer, Rocket Man, Bennie and the Jets, Honky Cat, Candle in the Wind and, technically, I’m Still Standing.

🎹 The costume is a joke. The music isn’t.

No backing tracks. No parody lyrics. Just 70 minutes of Elton John’s songs, played as they were written, and played properly.

❓ Can I bring the kids?

Yes. The show is for all ages, and it ends at about 20:10, well before bedtime. Kids under 12 get their own ticket for €6.66. Skelton John is a skeleton, but a friendly one. Kids may especially enjoy hearing him play Circle of Life and Can You Feel the Love Tonight.

🕶️ Wear outrageous glasses, get a free drink

Skelton John was buried in his glasses. He respects anyone who brings their own. Come in your most outrageous (big, sparkly, crazy) pair and get one free welcome drink at the door (soft drinks for kids).
