Sin[us]

Το έργο Sin[us] γεννήθηκε μέσα από την εντατική συνεργασία της Κυριακής Νασιούλα (χορογράφος, σκηνογράφος, αρχιτέκτων μηχανικός Ε.Μ.Π.) και της Μαρίας Καρόγλου (χημικός μηχανικός Ε.Μ.Π.). Το κινησιολογικό του σκέλος θα παρουσιαστεί την Κυριακή 27 Νοεμβρίου 2022 στις 7.30μμ , στον χώρο M54, στο πλαίσιο μιας συνάντησης ανοιχτής στο κοινό.
Τα πέντε στοιχεία (γη, νερό, φωτιά, αέρας και αιθέρας) λειτουργούν ως πηγή έμπνευσης και έρευνας, παίρνοντας τη μορφή μιας χορογραφικής διέλευσης από το ένα στοιχείο στο άλλο.
Μετατοπίζοντας τα φυσικά στοιχεία έξω από τα εργαστήρια του Εθνικού Μετσόβιου Πολυτεχνείου, η Κυριακή και η Μαρία εξερευνούν τις κινητικές, χωρικές και ηχητικές τους ιδιότητες, οι οποίες στη συνέχεια ερμηνεύονται σε παραστατική κίνηση και παλλόμενο ήχο. Η δραματουργία προσεγγίζει το σώμα ως σύμπαν και το σύμπαν ως σώμα.

Την περφόρμανς θα ακολουθήσει μια συζήτηση με τους συντελεστές και την θεωρητικό Χριστιάνα Καζάκου πάνω στις συνεργατικές διαδικασίες μεταξύ καλλιτέχνη και επιστήμονα. Τι διάλογο μπορούν να δημιουργήσουν τα διαφορετικά πεδία γνώσης και πως μπορούν να μεταφραστούν σε χορογραφία? Πώς βιώνουμε έναν ετερογενή χώρο όταν υπερβαίνουμε πεδία γνώσης, πώς ο χώρος και ο χρόνος διαμορφώνουν την καλλιτεχνική παραγωγή και την υβριδική κουλτούρα;

The project Sin[us] was born through the intensive collaboration between Kyriaki Nasioula (choreographer, set designer, architect and engineer NTUA) and Maria Karoglou (chemical engineer NTUA). Its kinesiological part will be presented on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at 7pm, in the M54 space in Athens, in the context of an encounter open to the public. The five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and ether) act as a source of inspiration and inquiry, taking the shape of a choreographic transit from one element to another.
Taking physical elements outside the National Technical University of Athens' laboratories, Kyriaki and Maria explore their kinetic, spatial, and sound qualities, which are then transformed into performative movement and pulsating sound. Dramaturgy perceives the body as the universe and the universe as the body.

The performance will be followed by a discussion with the project contributors and theorist Christiana Kazakou on the collaborative processes between artists and scientists. What kind of discourse may be created by different fields of knowledge, and how can it be translated into choreography? How do we experience a heterogeneous space when we transcend disciplines and find ourselves at the intersection of dance arts and sciences, and how do space and time shape artistic production and hybrid culture?
