We open our concert year with a violin and piano recital centered around Edvard Grieg’s Violin Sonata No. 3.

Maria Yulin – Piano
The first joint concert of the two musicians took place in Jerusalem at the age of 16. For over two decades, they have been connected by a deep friendship and musical partnership.
About the Artists:
Yuval Herz: Praised by the New York Times for his “haunting and ravishing” artistry, Yuval is a regular guest leader with Europe's top ensembles, including the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Bayerischer Rundfunk. An avid chamber musician, he tours globally and has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Gary Hoffman, Amihai Grosz, and Clara Jumi Kang. He performs on a magnificent 1687 Stradivarius violin, provided on a generous loan.
Maria Yulin: Known for subtle artistry and courageous interpretations, Maria consistently captivates audiences with thoughtfully curated programs. As a prize-winner of several international competitions, she performs widely as both a soloist and chamber musician on international stages.

🍷 As always, we will have a selection of fine wine, beer, and other refreshments ready for you before, during, and after the performance. You are warmly invited to stay after the concert to converse with the artists and other guests. Much like the historic musical salons, we gather for the music, but meeting other people and getting to know the musicians personally is just as much a part of the Piano Insel experience. Our doors will remain open until midnight!
