Wigtown County Building, Wigtown, DG8 9JH • Wigtown County Building, DG8 9JH Wigtown, Scotland, United Kingdom
Please join us for a walk, talk and picnic on the saltmarsh at Wigtown to find out more about our very special coastal and marine environment and all the opportunities there are for nature restoration.
This is a chance to share your hopes and dreams for yourself and your community as we chat about how to help Wigtown’s unique Saltmarsh, and other coastal and marine environments in the surrounding area to flourish now and in the future. We will explore how people can connect more closely to the saltmarsh, it’s wildlife and remarkable biodiversity.
Lets design together a future for our children and grandchildren which celebrates our relationship with our saltmarsh, our coast, and our marine environment. Helping nature restore and flourish in the future.
Of course, we are hoping for a lovely sunny evening but just in case please come dressed for the weather with a blanket or coat to sit on.
Picnic provided by the SCAMP team. Looking forward to meeting you all.
Solway Coast and Marine Project is an initiative by the Dumfries and Galloway Council Environment Team supported by NatureScot in collaboration with the Scottish Government and in partnership with the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
