Join us for an unforgettable one-day adventure to Rogla and Žalec, where we will immerse ourselves in breathtaking landscapes, thrilling activities, and unique cultural experiences. This trip is designed for those who love nature, excitement, and a taste of local tradition, making it the perfect way to escape the everyday routine and explore some of Slovenia's hidden gems.

Our journey begins with a visit to the Treetop walk Pohorje, an extraordinary experience that takes us high above the forest canopy. Walking along the elevated wooden pathway, we will witness the beauty of the Pohorje region from a unique perspective. As we ascend the observation tower, we will be rewarded with panoramic views stretching over the rolling green hills and dense forests. Along the way, interactive educational points will introduce us to the rich biodiversity of this alpine environment, revealing the fascinating ecosystem that thrives in these ancient woodlands. With the scent of pine trees filling the crisp mountain air, this experience offers the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. (The entrance ticket for the treetop walk is included in the trip price.)

After the treetop walk, you will have the option to visit the Rogla Fun Park, where an exhilarating adventure awaits. If the conditions are right, you can race down the 1,360-metre-long alpine coaster, an adrenaline-pumping ride that winds through the stunning mountain landscape. Whether you decide to speed down the track for a thrilling rush or take a slower approach to soak in the breathtaking views, the experience is entirely up to you. If you prefer to take it easy, you can relax in one of the cozy mountain cafés, sipping a warm drink while enjoying the fresh alpine air. (Please note that the availability of the sledding track depends on weather conditions, and participation is optional with an additional fee which is not include in the trip price.)

Alternatively, you can spend your time to embark on a scenic hike to Lovrenška lakes, a stunning collection of high-altitude lakes hidden deep within the Pohorje plateau. The hike follows well-maintained boardwalks through untouched alpine nature, where the calm waters of the lakes reflect the surrounding pine trees like a natural mirror. These lakes, formed over thousands of years through the accumulation of peat, are home to rare plant species and offer a true escape into nature's tranquility. Along the way, you can take in the peaceful silence of this pristine environment, capturing stunning photos and immersing yourself in the unspoiled beauty of one of Slovenia’s most unique landscapes.

On our return journey, we will make a special stop in the charming town of Žalec, home to the world’s first beer fountain. Situated in the heart of Slovenia’s hop-growing region, the fountain is a tribute to the area’s centuries-old brewing tradition. Here, we will have the opportunity to taste up to six different varieties of craft beer, each brewed using the finest local hops. The Savinja valley has long been known for its premium hop production, supplying some of Europe’s best breweries, and this stop will give us a deeper appreciation of Slovenia’s brewing heritage. (Please note that tasting beer at the fountain is an optional experience and requires an additional payment, as it is not included in the trip price.) For those who prefer to explore beyond the fountain, Žalec’s historic centre offers a pleasant stroll through its charming streets, with traditional architecture and a rich cultural heritage waiting to be discovered.

As the day wraps up, we will head back to Ljubljana with great memories — whether from treetop views, mountain adventures, scenic hikes, or a cold craft beer. A perfect mix of nature, fun, and culture all in one trip!
