Shibari Show & Rope Jam

The Sage Wellness Centre - Yoga & Events, Oslo

๐ŸŒฟโœจ Shibari Performance & Rope Jam โœจ๐ŸŒฟ

This is a new kind of gathering designed to support the slow integration of knowledge into the body through practice. We have seen that many people leave an introduction course feeling inspired, but without a steady space to actually practice, the knowledge fades. This event is created to hold that missing link for practice, repetition, inspiration and community.

๐Ÿต The Flow of the Evening ๐Ÿต

We begin by landing together with tea and a gentle check in, creating space to arrive fully and meet each other. Then follows a 30 minute Shibari performance by Sofia Su, offering a deeper, embodied exploration of rope, connection and energy work. After the performance, the space opens into a Rope Jam. This is where practice begins. You can tie, be tied, observe, ask questions, experiment, and move between roles. Sofia Su is present as a guide and support, offering knowledge when needed, while also encouraging exchange between participants so learning can flow in many directions.

๐Ÿ’ซ Who this is for ๐Ÿ’ซ

This space is open to both beginners and experienced rope practitioners. Couples, groups or alone. You are very welcome to come as a bunny with no experience and simply have the desire to get tied and receive. If you are a rigger who has not previously attended one of my introduction courses, this is a requirement before joining this event. This is to ensure a shared foundation of safety and understanding in the space.

๐Ÿ‰Who is your teacher?๐Ÿ‰
Sofia Su has been teaching since 2020, and what makes her teaching unique is her intimacy-based approach โ€” focusing on connection, surrender, trust, and the immersive energy that rope can open up. For her, Shibari is not only a skill, but also a tool for deeper connection, healing, and letting go. That is why she also creates rope performances that are more like rituals than shows, and offers private Shibari sessions as healing work for those who wish to explore the practice on a deeper, personal level. You can read more about her work and offerings on her website: www.sofiasu.ooo

๐Ÿ„ The container ๐Ÿ„
This is not a formal teaching course. For structured learning of foundational ties, the Introduction Course is the right place. This is not a sex positive event. This space is intended for practice, exploration, sensation, connection and learning through exchange with others. Nudity is not required and is generally not part of the practice, though it is not discouraged. We hold a body positive approach in this community.

๐ŸŒŠ Optional grounding before the course:
Book a float session at www.thesage.no for deep relaxation and presence. Youโ€™ll receive 30% off with code "LOL2025" (valid Mondayโ€“Thursday for single or duo floats).
