For this programme, we wanted to bring together music from different periods, united by one idea: all these pieces were written by virtuosos and call for truly virtuosic performance.
The programme moves from Paganini to contemporary composers and includes:
• Pablo de Sarasate — Spanish Dances Nos. 5 (Habanera), 7 and 8
• Mieczysław Weinberg — Moldavian Rhapsody
• Niccolò Paganini — Caprices Nos. 17 and 21
• Henri Vieuxtemps — Souvenir d’Amérique
• A solo piece for harp
We have also created our own arrangements of several works for violin and harp, exploring how this music can sound through the combination of these two instruments. Truly hope you’ll join us for this journey through different periods, styles and shades of virtuosity.
