In the Light of Romanticism

On August 2 at 3:00 p.m., the public is invited to the Riga History and Navigation Museum for a chamber music concert titled “In the Light of Romanticism.” Pianist Lelde Tirēle and cellist Kirill Varyash will perform three 19th-century masterpieces, reflecting the development of Romanticism from its early rise to its late period. The program “In the Light of Romanticism” traces the evolution of Romantic musical thought—from Schubert’s delicate lyricism through Schumann’s psychological depth to Franck’s philosophical wholeness and artistic maturity.
