Doors 19.00 / Concert 19.30

Uus Laine, Tallinn

Three distinctive voices from the Baltic experimental music scene come together for an evening of solo performances at Uus Laine on 9 September at 19:30. While each artist follows a unique musical path, Rinalds Maksimovs, Mart Soo, and Sander Saarmets all navigate the fertile ground between composition and improvisation, embracing experimentation as an essential part of their practice. The programme features music from Maksimovs' debut album “Rincore”, alongside solo sets by Soo and Saarmets.

As a solo artist he has performed in Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, UK and Baltic States, developing a distinctive style rooted in experimentation and sonic exploration. In this concert Rinalds will perform music from his debut album “Rincore”, a deeply personal project created between 2022 and 2026 that balances the worlds of acoustic and electronic music.

Sander Saarmets

Sander Saarmets is an Estonian composer, electronic musician, and sound designer whose work explores the interplay between structure and openness. Working across concert music, live electronics, film, installation, and radio, he combines modular synthesis, generative processes, and transformed remnants of his own acoustic compositions into evolving musical forms. His recent LP, Bleu Précieux (Glitch Please, 2025), extends these ideas through a cycle of carefully crafted works, while his live modular performances remain open to real-time musical discovery.
