A print art festival wouldn’t be complete without a little historic overview of how we got here in the first place. For this we are offering our usual museum tours with a bit of a discount on August 30th, starting from 12.00!
During the tour we will give you a historic overview of paper from China to Estonia, the birth of the print revolution in Europe. We will show you our type collection consisting of metal and wooden types, talk about printing presses and casting machines from previous centuries, all which made the printed word accessible to the regular person. Additionally, we will try our hand at paper making, printing, and will demonstrate how some of our machines work.
For this special occasion, the museum tours will be priced at 10€, discount ticket* at 5€!
*Discount applies to children, students up to age of 26, retired persons, persons with disability. Children under 5-years free.
There will be two tours held at the same time, one in English, one in Estonian.
