English and Japanese improv comedy live in Ebisu, Tokyo! Everything is made up on the spot from your suggestions. No script, no plan. ¥2,500 gets you in with your first drink free, at the What the Dickens! British pub, a 3-minute walk from Ebisu Station (1 stop from Shibuya).
Enjoy the "Autumn of Arts" with unscripted theater!
Since 2010, the Pirates of Tokyo Bay have been making audiences laugh in both languages with short-form improv comedy. We make each show half English and half Japanese, and we keep every scene easy to follow whatever language you speak (sometimes we invent new ones on the spot). You shout the suggestions and our performers build scenes, stories, and songs from your ideas.
Winner of the Peatix Community Award 2026 (Creative Arts Community). Rated #4 Theater & Concerts in Shibuya on TripAdvisor.

ABOUT THE PIRATES
The Pirates of Tokyo Bay is Tokyo's English and Japanese improv comedy group, on stage since 2010. We perform short-form comedy games (no script!) in both languages for audiences in Tokyo and across Asia. Whether you speak one language or both, we promise a night of chaotic fun and connection.
