Thursday 25th July Morning session 10:00-12:00

Join us for a fun-filled, bushcraft adventure at Kilsture Forest! Designed for children aged 5-11, this summer event offers a perfect blend of education and play in a beautiful woodland setting in the heart of the Machars. Led by experienced forest school practitioners Toni and Pauline, they provide a safe space for young people to be themselves, gain skills and have fun.

Bushcraft Activities Include:

Fire: Responsibly creating and managing a fire using traditional methods such as flint and steel.

Shelter: Building shelters to survive the elements. Attendees will learn essential knot tying techniques to be able to build a storm proof shelter (Which will be put to the test!). We will look at the different types of shelters that can be used and try to build one ourselves.

Assault Course: We will be creating an assault course that goes through Kilsture Forest by using our imagination and getting creative. We will use tools to make different obstacles such as set of ladders and balance beams. After we build it we will have a shot to see how brave we are.

Don't miss this opportunity for a fun filled memorable experience in nature this summer! Parents and Guardians don't miss out on all the fun and join in, however, children can be left unaccompanied.

This Event is run in partnership with D&G Woodlands (using funds from The National Lottery Heritage Fund) and the Kilsture Forest Community Group (KFCG).
